Google Drive Users Beware: Company Raises Alarm Over Hacking Threat!

Google has issued a warning specifically for users of Google Drive. They caution against potential spam threats, stating that using Google Drive could make users vulnerable to hacking.

The issue revolves around a suspicious file being circulated to Google Account users via Google Drive. Numerous users have reported receiving requests to accept files through their Google accounts. Google has acknowledged these spam attacks and advises users to mark any suspicious files as spam.

To safeguard against these threats, Google advises users not to click on links or open documents from suspicious sources. If users have inadvertently approved such files, they should refrain from interacting with them.

How To Protect Your Google Drive From Hackers?

To protect themselves, users can report any suspicious files they receive. On smartphones, this can be done by clicking on the three dots and selecting the report option. On computers, users can right-click on the file and choose the Block or Report option.

In 2023, Google Drive introduced a feature allowing users to move suspicious files to the Spam folder. Similar to Gmail, this folder stores potentially harmful files attached or linked to an account. Users can simply drag and drop suspicious files into the Spam folder for added security.
