Paytm FASTag: Following action taken by the Reserve Bank of India on Paytm bank accounts, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has instructed the removal of Paytm accounts linked to FASTag. Additionally, users are directed to link their FASTag with a new bank before March 15th, as Paytm FASTag services will cease after this date.
Recharging and top-up services for Paytm FASTags will no longer be available. Users are advised to activate FASTags from alternative banks such as Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank, IDFC First Bank, and Kotak Mahindra Bank.
Process to switch from Paytm FASTag to a new FASTag
- Open the Paytm app and click on the profile icon.
- Select ‘Banking Services & Payments.’
- Submit a deactivation request through the ‘Chat with us’ option.
- Visit the NHAI website to select from 32 banks offering FASTags.
Easy process to get a new FASTag
- Visit Google Play Store or Apple App Store for online FASTag services.
- Choose the FASTag option from Amazon or Flipkart.
- Activate the new FASTag by scanning the QR code through the ‘Activate FASTag’ option and selecting Amazon or Flipkart.
- Complete the on-screen activation process to enjoy uninterrupted services.
