The much-anticipated Poco X7 5G series will make its debut in India on January 9, featuring two models: Poco X7 5G and Poco X7 Pro 5G. Both smartphones will be available for purchase exclusively on Flipkart. Ahead of the launch, Poco has teased the design and revealed key details about the phones, including the Pro variant’s powerful chipset.
Design & Build
Poco has showcased distinct design elements for both models. The Poco X7 5G will feature a central, squircle-shaped rear camera setup, while the X7 Pro opts for a pill-shaped camera module with circular slots. True to the brand’s bold style, both devices come in black and yellow, with leaked images suggesting additional color variants—silver and green for the base model, and dual-tone black and green for the Pro variant.
Performance & Hardware
The Poco X7 Pro 5G is confirmed to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset, ensuring top-tier performance. The base model may sport the Dimensity 7300-Ultra processor. Both phones are expected to come with a 50-megapixel main camera, with the Pro variant featuring the Sony IMX882 sensor, while the standard model is expected to include a 20-megapixel front camera for selfies. Rumors suggest both variants will have a durable IP68-rated build, offering resistance against water and dust.
Display & Battery
The Poco X7 5G will sport a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The Pro model is likely to feature a CrystalRez 1.5K AMOLED display with similar specifications. As for battery life, the base model will pack a 5,110mAh battery with 45W fast charging, while the Pro version will offer a larger 6,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging.
